2 more days to ROM - epic incident

Seems like my life has taken an exciting turn recently. My FMIL is insisting that I am not part of the family yet because we are not doing the traditional tea ceremony. PL is quite pissed because he thinks that signing that document means that we are officially together for life. For me, I seriously don't care. What's all the big hoohaa about this traditional tea ceremony? Only crazy old folks believe in this kind of things. I don't really need her to recognise me as her DIL because I'm not looking at her money or whatever shit, even if she really have the moolah. We have been selecting the songs. I was a little sian because I hate this kind of events yet I am being forced to do them. I think I would do better if I can hide behind somewhere and be in my own little world, but no, I have to be forced out to do entertaining. Sibei sian. Okays, it's time to sleep and try to go for the CXWORX in the morning.

What to do at the Registery of Marriage SIngapore

PL and I took half day leave to go down to ROM for the collection of the ROM stuff. Things to note: The parking uncle is very hardworking. We kena summon due to not putting parking coupon. The appointment is like any other government agency. We still have to take a queue number and wait for around 45 mins despite having an appointment. You have to raise your right hand to make the statutory declaration.  (PL was quite amused by it and asked the officer if there was a CCTV to record it down.) There is also a supposed 15bucks admin fee if you decide to change your JP. We managed to get it waived off as the JP was the one who cannot make it. I think if I knew we had to wait so long,  I would have brought a book along to read @@

5 more days to ROM - An incident with JP Peter Kong from Ayer Rajah CC

Today was an interesting day. In the morning, PL got an SMS from Peter Kong, the JP that we looked for like close to 4 months ago, and he asked if we can push back our ROM timing to 6.30pm as he thinks that he may be late due to a medical appointment at Changi General Hospital. We panicked as we had already informed everyone that we will do the solemnisation at 6pm and all the food and everything has been arranged. In the end, we called up Ivan Ng from Clementi CC who was willing to perform the solemnisation for us at 6pm. One of the reason I didn't want to choose him at first was because it will lead to the whole Clementi area knowing that our big day is on Friday (but we have no choice now) PL was quite pissed as we have booked with Peter Kong quite a while ago and only now did he tell us that he has a medical appointment on the same day around the same timing. At first, when we wanted to meet up with him for a briefing for the actual day, he said that he can't make i

Sh'bam class at Fitness First

I went for my first Sh'bam class yesterday. I thought I saw Joseph but I might be mistaken. But anyway, back to Sh'bam.. I have no idea what it was all about actually. Basically what we do in class is to follow the instructor's moves and follow. The class I attended at market street was taught by Naila and I think she is pretty chirpy and hip for an instructor. Even though I can't catch all of the moves, I will go back for next week's class. For those who wanna know how shiong the lesson is, I give it 2/5. I don't think it burns more calories than running on the treadmill. Or yoga.

Birth Control Pills - Microgynon 30

I'm officially one month into the birth control pills. One thing I love about this, it regulates my menses. Damn shiok to know when exactly it will come. One not very good thing about it - it gives me the headache when I go on and off the pills. I didn't feel it when I took it to delay my menses, but I felt it when I took it for a longer period of time. The afternoon period is always the time when I feel the headache the most, but it stopped after around a week. It's probably still getting used to the extra hormones that is being injected in, but so far, I'm quite happy with it. For now, I think I will just stick to this method until there is a better one (which does not require me to eat the pill at around the same time) >.< I have a tendency to forget about it. So far I have not registered any weight gain yet, and since I have been going to the gym quite frequently recently, my weight has been going down instead.

Review: Wolf on Wall Street

The first thing that came to my mind was: The movie is super long. In Singapore, it is classified as a R21 film, making it my first R-rated movie watched in the cinema. Truth to be told, I didn't think that I would have enjoyed it this much as 3 hours sounded a tad long to me. But I managed to watch it all without falling asleep, which is considered very good. The film depicts the life of Jordan Belfort, who rose to fame and fortune by being a very good stockbroker who eventually opened his own firm and used devious ways to make people invest their money so that they can earn from their investments, together with some insider trading blah blah blah. There were quite a few banking jargons but most of it were drugs related. The film has a typical ending, where the bad guy goes to jail and gets reformed after all the bad things that he has done. What I am impressed by is the way they tried to glamorize the sex and drug scenes initially. People are drawn to the high living life

Happy V-day!

Thank you PL for organising such a wonderful night, and I really enjoyed myself. According to him, it was his first time giving a bouquet of flower bear or what you call it to a girl (I seriously have no idea what he gave his ex, and anyway, her loss is my profit [and happiness?]) and I'm not going to grumble about him spending money on it because it's probably going to be one in a lifetime kinda thing. He said he got it for me because I have not celebrated Valentine's Day before~ :D So our plan was like this: Eat dinner at Tiong Bahru's Eighteen Chefs Watch Wolf of Wall Street at Vivocity at 8.40pm. I guess it's a very typical V-day celebration but I am very touched. ^^ He just reminded me of this song~

Review: Fitness First @ Market Street

June and I went for a trial for fitness first. I need to get back in shape! I heard from my colleagues and friends that fitness first is quite good and they don't hard sell, which is good for me. I made an appointment with Edwin, who is my consultant at 6.30pm. When we reached, we were supposed to fill in a register and it was when he suggested us to try out a power yoga class which was going to start at 6.40pm. He brought us up to the second level and we exchanged for our workout attire. The changing room is quite big, and we don't have to squeeze even though it was after working hours. There were not too many people aka wasn't crowded. I'm super glad because I hate squeezing with people. The yoga class only have 9 of us including us, and once the lesson started, I think I know why. Cuz the trainer pushes us hard! My neck and a bit of my body is aching today due to the yoga. After the class, I went to shower. The place has separate shampoo for hair and body, wh

Review: Blue Backpackers Busan

Despite being a little hard to find, I enjoyed staying at Blue Backpackers Busan. The rooms were nicely decorated and the flooring was heated. It was god sent when the weather was so freezing cold. This was the small dressing table in the room. Look at all the pretty stickers on the wall! Even the inside of the door is not spared. And this is how it looked outside our room~~ This is the corridor towards the rooms. As you can see, each room has its own distinct stickers. This is the stairs to the rooms from the living room. I recalled many nights sitting on the stairs to chat with bf via viber on my phone~~ The living room. It is super awesome. There are free water dispensers and books for browsing.  What I love is the cozy feeling, and the manager speaks decent English. He also helped us to get back to the hostel when we lost our way at night and ended up calling from a convenience store. The living room is quite cold during the winter as many peop

Love and marriage before 28.6 years old

There are many people who expressed surprised that I'm engaged and getting married soon. WHY? Because the national average of females with tertiary education getting married in Singapore is 28.6 years, according to  Singstats . So, theoretically I am marrying too young. >.< I don't think I'm making a mistake. I love my soon-to-be-husband, despite all the idiotic things that he does. I admit that I'm not without my flaws either. Just today, I made him upset and disappointed because I overslept (a common occurrence) But, we forgive and made up, no matter how pissed we are at each other. Love is a funny thing. It makes you tolerate the very same things that you don't with other people. It may be mistaken for lust, or infatuation, but when you have seen the person at his very best (and worst), are you sure that is just pure lust? I'm sure cleaning up vomiting after your SO when he is drunk or sick isn't exactly what you signed up for when you fell in

The conclusion of two days of running about for CNY

*Phew* It was hard work, entertaining all the relatives and friends. This year is the first time that we both felt the full force of both families' schedules, and it was quite tiring. It was quite interesting to meet someone who has the same name as me in PL's family, where his nephew's girlfriend is also called Jieyi. I was super confused everytime one of his relatives call Jieyi, because I'm not sure if they are calling me. We also went to visit one of his mum's friend's daughter housewarming party at Woodlands. They got their flat at 270k for a four room flat, which is still cheaper than our 3room flat!! PL commented that he wants to move to Woodlands instead, and I told him if that is the case, I want to have an Executive Mansionette. I'm just so glad we are (almost) done with everything and I can just stay home and nua~

The man who will definitely make you cum vs the man who will definitely not cum

*Warning - Those below 18 years old should not be reading/watching this* Also, those who are adverse to adult content should skip this post too. I thought that this video was quite interesting. It's quite an introduction to gay sex huh. But I thought it was quite scripted. It seems more like trying to get more viewership and rating than an actual session of gay sex being done.

Eska Wellness and Spa 26/1/2014

PL and I went for our first facial treatment together at Eska Wellness and Spa. This time round, we went to the branch located inside Nagoya Shopping Mall. As you can see, it was just a short walk from Triniti Hotel, the place where we stayed. But I would recommend that you try Ace Hotel, which is located around the row of shophouses. We took the Essential Purifying Facial Treatment at 330k rupiah (inclusive of taxes). It was written there as a 60 mins treatment, but we were treated for 2 hours, and nearly missed our check out time. >.< The branch was jam packed when we reached there at 10am, when it just started to open for business. We booked the treatment the night before, as we figured that it would be less packed but we thought wrong. A lot of Singaporeans were there, but they were mostly there for massage or hair spa. We were the only two for facial treatment, which is good! Basically, they just squeezed the whole face out of me, and it was ultra painful. Probabl
